Mari of the Moon
by
Victor Anderson
To Triple Mari of the moon we pray
And offer our devotions in the night,
For broken hearts who dare not dream by day
Shall find a refuge when Her healing light
Illuminates the city of our sins
And penetrates the soil with estrous heat
To burst the seeds where unborn life begins,
Releasing roots that grope with searching feet.
Unite the children of your love divine
(Eternal love the common herd calls lust)
From one another parted by design,
Scattered and blown about the world like dust.
Fate-driven, wronged and crucified in vain,
Deliver us, Our Lady of the Pain.
